Polyester mattress and pillow protectors will wear out a lot quicker than all natural St Dormeir wool protectors. The polyester protectors will then end up in a landfill, where they do not decompose, to the detriment of the environment.

We are committed to helping you to sleep better, while impacting the planet as little as possible. We produce a quality product without any possibility of risk to your health, when using our protectors, or to ourselves in making them. We want to protect future generations. Therefore, we do not produce products made of petrochemicals that fill landfills with harmful materials that won't return to the earth naturally. 

St Dormeir protectors will last for many years, but eventually, they will wear out. Because they are made of all natural fibers, unbleached cotton and wool, their elements will return to the earth in a natural way. To make new St Dormeir protectors, we simply grow more cotton and give the sheep another haircut.
